If we move on to take a look at the dial, we can see Tudor have opted for their much-loved clean matte-black dial with cleaned-up flange replacing earlier cut-out style, boosting clarity and giving the watch a more refined look. It would not be a Tudor if it did not feature their snowflake hands and the Pelagos Ultra is no exception. On this model we have oversized “Snowflake” hands and monobloc ceramic composite indices that help maximize the lumed surface area. Everything about this dial has been made with the aim to create the best deep-sea dive watch possible.
That is why Tudor have used two different lume colours, X1 (blue) and BGW9 (green) Super-LumiNova to help distinguish the hands and bezel pip underwater. Not only that the hour elements glow blue, while minute hand and bezel marker shine green to give a clear distinction between the two. To keep in line with the clean aesthetic of the new Pelagos Ultra Tudor have decided to reduce the text to just three lines as opposed to five lines on the regular Pelagos. The text now reads “Pelagos,” “Master Chronometer,” and “1000 m/3280 ft”. For just a small splash of colour, the “Pelagos” text also features a subtle light-blue accent.
A QUICK LOOK AT THE TUDOR PELAGOS ULTRA
Perhaps the one that got away at Watches and Wonders 2025 was the Tudor Pelagos Ultra. Maybe it is because the Black Bay 58 and Chronographs have been the centre of attention for so long but Tudor has taken their magic and applied it to the Pelagos. Given that it has been a good few years since the last time they made any updates to the Pelagos, it was about time they gave us a new one with all the new bells and whistles we’ve seen them give other models in their collections. Whilst not many people have spoken about it, we want to give this new watch some time to shine so today we are going over all details of the new Tudor Pelagos Ultra.
Starting off at the case, we have got that larger 43 mm case diameter with a case thickness of 14.5 mm. Now, that may seem like enormous watch specifications, however for a dive watch capable of going to a depth of 1000 meters, it is actually very slim! Tudor knew that by having a larger watch on the wrist it could feel overbearing when worn for long periods of time. That’s why the entire case is made from lightweight grade-2 titanium with a grade-t titanium case back which gives it both strength and comfort. The compact helium escape valve is at the 9 o’clock position along the side of the case which means it can be used by saturation divers. What’s more, the 1000 meters of water resistance is double that of the standard Pelagos so this Ultra version is very special. Of course, no dive watch would be complete without the famous uni-directional rotating bezel. The bezel on the Tudor Pelagos Ultra is finished with a matte-black ceramic insert and lumed to a 60-min scale. Encasing the watch’s dial is a domed sapphire crystal topped with anti-reflective coating to help increase legibility regardless of the time of day or lighting conditions.

If you were to remove the case back of this beasty dive watch, you would find the calibre MT5612‑U ticking inside of it. This is Tudor’s new in-house automatic movement that is also METAS Master Chronometer certified proving the watch has high-end accuracy, antimagnetic performance with 0/+5 s/day regulation. The watch runs at 4 Hz (28,800 vph), with a silicon hairspring and variable inertia balance which all help to achieve the accuracy it has. The watch has around 65 hours of power reserve and features the same complications as the standard Pelagos, hacking seconds, date and time.
